ASTA President and Chief Executive Officer Zane Kerby heads the national trade association solely responsible for promoting and defending the travel agent profession. He is the chief steward and primary spokesman for ASTA, which represents members who are responsible for 80 percent of all travel sold in the U.S. through the travel agency distribution channel. Kerby joined ASTA in February 2013 after a successful career with the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). He began his career at GBTA in 1999, and was promoted to Senior Vice President with responsibility for all aspects of GBTAs annual global convention in 2009. Kerby earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University. He currently resides in the Washington, D.C., area with his wife and five children.
