About Québec City Tourism
Québec City Tourism has near 1,000 members in Québec City and the surrounding areas of Portneuf, Jacques-Cartier, ?le d'Orléans, and C?te-de-Beaupré. The destination marketing organization, which is a public/private venture, guides and leads the Quebec City area's tourism industry growth through its marketing and development efforts, hospitality services for tourists, and by disseminating information to the industry. In one of its major promotional efforts, Quebec City Tourism is also targeting U.S. travel agents and cruise clients to promote Québec City as a premier port from which to start and end cruises as a way to build its leisure business and introduce the destination to a wider market. Holland America's Veendam will use Quebec City as a turnaround port in 2013 and Quebec City Tourism plans to spread the word about this and other cruise visits. Readers of Travel + Leisure rank Quebec City among the top 10 North American destinations because of the region's plethora of cultural and historic attractions as well as its access to winter sports.
