We take a look inside the beautiful Patagonia Camp, designed to put visitors comfortably in the heart of the wild.

Patagonia Camp has 20 yurts positioned on the hillside along Lake Toro. It's easy to see why the location was chosen. The view from the main lodge and most of the individual yurts provide a wonderful perspective on the landscape, including the jagged peaks of Torres del Paine National Park and the suspended, hanging glaciers that grace their tops.

The sun sets beyond the mountains across the lake, providing a dramatic, photogenic golden hour. In the fall, these sloping hillsides are dotted with the colorful leaves of changing trees.

The circular yurts are simultaneously simple and luxurious. Soft colors dominate the d��cor, allowing the grain of the wood to jump out as the dominate tone. Hardwood floors, soft bathrobes, central heating, and a slate-tiled bathroom (with endless hot water) make one feel secure in the Patagonian wilderness. In the middle of the yurt is a round skylight. When you lay in bed, you can see the stars at night and the skies by day.
