Unless you've had your head in the sand for the past few days, you've probably heard that the long-awaited Star Wars-themed land, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is now open at Disneyland. We got a first look inside and shared our top picks for what to see and do, plus where to eat and shop. But, Batuu, the remote planet home to this new Star Wars story-one in which you are invited to play a role-is a land so immersive and richly layered that we have a lot more to say about it. Here, 20 of the coolest things about Galaxy's Edge that will make you want to walk through those gates right now.

You've probably heard by now that Galaxy's Edge is a sweeping land packed with spectacular sights. But, nothing will prepare you for the first time you lay eyes on the 100-foot-long Millennium Falcon, docked at the Black Spire Outpost Spaceport. Fun fact: Despite featuring in five Star Wars films to date (six if you count the early version in Solo), this is the first time a full-size, 100-percent complete Millennium Falcon has ever been built.

Sure, lots of Disney cast members are awesome at playing the part (here's looking at you, Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion), but Galaxy's Edge takes it to the next level. Cast members are deeply embedded in the storytelling throughout the land and dramatically enhance the experience. Bang up the ship too much on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and you'll get an earful as you leave. Walk through Resistance Forest in a First Order shirt, and you'd better reassure them you're just dressed like that because you're a Resistance Spy.

Once you finally get yourself into the cockpit of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, you're not going to want this experience of a lifetime to end. Your mission may be complete, but we have good news. On Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run, when you play one of three different roles-pilot, engineer, and gunner-you are truly in control of your own mission, and it's up to your flight crew to work together to secure the best possible outcome.

We asked the Disney Imagineers behind the ride how many possible ride variables this can generate, and they told us that the potential outcomes are infinite. Another cool thing about this ride? Just like Star Tours, the screen component has the potential to be changed and adapted to future Star Wars stories, so we'll likely be seeing new ride variations for years to come.

Venture too deep into First Order territory in Resistance clothing and you'll hear ominous words of warning, and just might find yourself facing the ire of Kylo Ren and First Order stormtroopers. You'll find them patrolling the area and turning up in front of Kylo's TIE echelon for impromptu crowd shakedowns.

If you thought the bioluminescent wonder of Pandora at night was spectacular, wait until you see Galaxy's Edge light up when darkness falls. The dazzling brilliance of the lights reflecting off the massive ships and buildings make the land feel even more vast and awe-inspiring at night.

We are loving the refreshing departure from standard theme park fare on Batuu. Similar to the menu at Pandora's Satu'li Canteen, the food in Galaxy's Edge may look exotic, but tastes fresh and approachable for even picky eaters, while still being interesting. At Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, Black Spire Outpost's main quick-service location, there are fresh and healthy options like the Roasted Endorian Tip-yip Salad and the vegan Felucian Garden Spread. Even the more indulgent signature menu item at nearby counter-service spot Ronto Roasters, the Ronto Wrap, a roasted pork and grilled sausage wrap, is topped with a colorful, crunchy slaw that makes it seem far lighter and healthier than your usual hot dog or sausage.

If you build your own astromech sidekick at Droid Depot, you better have a good disguise for him if you get thirsty. The Droid Detector at Oga's Cantina reminds guests that just like the famed Mos Eisley watering hole, "We don't serve their kind here." It appears they make an exception for droids on the payroll, like tune-spinning DJ Rex.

As you walk around Batuu, you'll need to get used to seeing jaws hanging wide open. For Star Wars fans, stumbling upon vehicles we've only ever dreamed of seeing in real life, like an X-wing, A-wing, or speeder, is truly bewildering.

You'll feel like a kid again when you feast your eyes on a Landspeeder like Luke Skywalker's in A New Hope. We know you're thinking of hopping the fence to take this thing for an intergalactic joy ride.

There are some awesome souvenirs on Batuu that you can sneak away with without parting with a single galactic credit. Make sure to snag one of these collectible coasters during your visit to Oga's Cantina.

The Resistance can use all the help they can get. If you're sympathetic to their cause, be sure to let them know and they just might teach you their secret handshake. Whisper the code words, "Let the Wookiee win," and they'll hand you a card that forms part of a top-secret map. Just be sure to keep your guard up-you never know where First Order spies could be lurking.

You'll need to know what you're looking for to discover Savi's Workshop. It's wholly unmarked save for a single telltale flag. And, you'll need a password to enter, but our lips are sealed-that would spoil the fun.

How could you not want to take home every single one of these creepy-cute-or just plain creepy-creatures from the Creature Stall? Our favorite is the Kowakian monkey lizard, which operates like the take-home banshees from Pandora at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Your typical theme park gift shops these are not, and you'll never spot a Star Wars logo anywhere on Batuu. We love the bustling, souk-like vibe of the marketplace. One of our favorite spots is Toydarian Toymaker, where all of the artisan plushes and wooden toys look handmade.

Anyone else think that Jedi garb is the perfect blend of form and function? We are all for it becoming socially acceptable to wear these pieces to the office. So is Brie Larson.

If Padme and Leia have your vote for best Disney royalty (and if they don't, explain yourself!), you'll want to skip the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and head straight to Dok-Andar's Den of Antiquities for this celebration of two of the most important women in the Star Wars canon.

At Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers, you'll have more than 120,000 possible combinations to choose from as you create your own personalized lightsaber. Once built, these things look, feel, and sound like the real thing.

Longtime fans of Disney's Star Tours attraction were over the moon to learn the original captain of the Starspeeder 3000, droid RX-24, or simply "Rex," was coming back-having reinvented himself as R-3X, DJ at Oga's Cantina. DJ Rex is seriously entertaining. He brings great energy to the watering hole by churning out techno versions of Modal Nodes classics plus the hottest hits from across the galaxy. We love hearing him crack up the crowd with his punny one-liners and commentary, all voiced by Paul Reubens, aka Pee-wee Herman.

Even the happiest place on earth can get a little exhausting, and there's nothing like a cool adult beverage to take the edge off (it is vacation, after all). Oga's Cantina is the only place at Disneyland to serve alcohol (besides Club 33, a members-only club, and as part of dinner service at exclusive 21 Royal), and with an enforced two-drink limit, adults get a chance to enjoy a cocktail or two without changing the park's family-friendly vibe. Choose from exotic pre-mixed libations like The Outer Rim, the Yub Nub, and Jet Juice, beers like White Wampa Ale and Gold Squadron Lager, and a selection of wines.

From blaster holes in the walls of Oga's Cantina, to Aurebesh signs that are unreadable without the help of your Play Disney Parks app (be sure to download it before you visit!), to unexpected sounds and music around every corner (listen for the suite legendary John Williams composed just for Batuu), this land is so richly layered with details that you'll never stop exploring and discovering.
