7/11Do your best to avoid touching your face, including your eyes, nose and mouth. It's a tough habit to break-a recent study found that participants touched their faces an average of 23 times per hour, with 44 percent of those touches coming in contact with mucous membranes-but there are ways to stop, including keeping your hands busy with a stress ball or other gadgets and using a tissue when you need to scratch an itch.
