American Airlines will be launching new routes and expanding flights from Chicago OHare International Airport (ORD) beginning this summer, including the only nonstop service to Naples, Italy, in Chicago and service to Honolulu.?
The airline will operate up to 480 flights each day from Chicago OHare, with larger planes providing 24 percent more seats and offering 22 percent more departures than in 2024.?
Part of this new expansion are ten daily flights to eight European destinations, including new service to Naples (NAP), Madrid (MAD) and Halifax (YHZ). It will also operate three daily flights to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) this summer.
American also recently announced a new security pilot program for travelers transiting through LHR?from Dallas-Forth Worth. The new One Stop Security (OSS) program doesn't require travelers to go through a second security screening and re-check their luggage.
All new routes from ORD are highlighted below:?
- March 30: ORD to Madrid (MAD)
- May 6: ORD to Naples (NAP)
- June 5: ORD to Bismarck, North Dakota (BIS); ORD to Boise (BOI); ORD to Colorado Springs (COS); ORD to Spokane (GEG)
- June 21: ORD to Halifax, Canada (YHZ); ORD to Hyannis, Massachusetts (HYA)
- October 26: ORD to Honolulu (HNL)
