Delta Air Lines is improving the premium travel experience
for passengers as it begins rolling out new first-class seats on select
refreshed Boeing 737-800 aircraft this month.
The new first-class seats originally debuted on Deltas
A321neo aircraft and will now provide travelers on some 737 planes with more
privacy, additional stowage space, a sturdier tray table and enhanced comfort.
The airline will also refresh Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin
on select Boeing 737-800 aircraft, including the addition of upgraded Panasonic
seatback screens, improved lavatories with touchless features and split-scimitar
winglets for fuel efficiency.
Delta is committed to creating a consistent and elevated
customer experience across all touchpoints of the travel journey, which
includes offering the best products for our customers while in-flight, Delta Brand
Experience Vice President Mauricio Parise said.
Enhancing our aircraft interiors with select retrofits will
give customers more premium options to choose from, Parise continued.?
In addition, the carrier is expanding the Delta One cabin on
its fleet of Airbus
A350-900s by adding eight more lie-flat suites to the long-haul jet. The
planes will soon feature 40 Delta One Suites, 40 Delta Premium Select cabin
seats, 36 extra-legroom seats in Delta Comfort+ and 159 Main Cabin seats.
The first modified A350-900 aircraft is expected to enter service
in Summer 2024. ?
