JetBlue announced that it will serve Tulum, its fourth destination in Mexico; flights are now on sale. Daily nonstop service from New Yorks John F. Kennedy International Airport to Felipe Carrillo Puerto Tulum International Airport will begin June 13, 2024. Tulum is known for its beaches and rich Mayan history. This will be the airlines fourth destination in Mexico, where it already serves the markets of Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, and Los Cabos.
With picturesque beaches and vibrant cultural heritage, Tulum has proven to be a destination in demand by seamlessly blending ancient and modern, in a country that continues to lead with world-class hospitality, said David Jehn, VP, network planning and airline partnerships, JetBlue. With the new international airport in Tulum, we are able to bring our customers where they want to go, arriving and departing in a brand new, modern, and convenient airport facility while offering the great service and low fares JetBlue is known for.
Tulum is southwest of Playa del Carmen and Cancun and has become popular for travelers looking for health-centric resorts and retreats, archaeological ruins, and natural attractions such as the regions cenotes.
Flights will leave JFK daily at 7:55 a.m. and arrive at TQO at 11:15 a.m. The return flights depart at 12:45 p.m. and land back in New York at 5:55 p.m. JetBlue will operate the route with its Airbus A320 aircraft.
To celebrate the launch, for a limited time the airline is offering special $149 one-way fares, available online only on jetblue.com.
