Newly released video footage shows a Canadian traveler attacking Florida Transportation Security Administration agents at Miami International Airport during last year’s Christmas holiday.?
A video released by WPLG Local 10 in South Florida shows Canadian national Cameron Dylan McDougall approaching two TSA agents at a security checkpoint as he began punching and attacking them on December 28, 2024.
The two agents are seen struggling with the man even after he fell over a cart containing screening bins, landing on his back.?
He’s finally stopped once a third TSA agent intervenes, and the Miami-Dade Police were called to respond to the assault, arresting McDougall.
McDougall pled guilty to two federal charges for assaulting, resisting or impeding officers on May 19 this year, and faces three state charges for felony battery of a law enforcement officer and one for a misdemeanor battery charge.?
His hearing for his federal crimes is today, May 30, while he’s expected to revisit court on June 2 for his state charges.?
McDougall was originally meant to be flying from Panama back to Canada, but his Copa Airlines flight had been rerouted after he assaulted another passenger while onboard, landing him in Miami.
Yet the pilots and crew didn’t call authorities to arrest the man, leaving him to rebook a seat on an Air Canada flight and allowing him to assault the TSA officers, raising questions about why the airline didn’t warn the proper authorities.?
Airport video footage from before he assaulted the TSA officers also appears to show McDougall randomly attacking and punching another traveler, too.?
