Spirit Airlines is making it easier for Americans to visit
Mexico by announcing new, nonstop service to Tulum.
Daily flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International
Airport and Orlando International Airport to Felipe Carrillo Puerto
International Airport in Tulum are scheduled to launch on March 28 when the
Mexican airport opens to the public.
Spirit is the first low-cost carrier in the United States to
announce service at the brand-new airport.?
Tulum is an increasingly popular choice for leisure
travelers, and our direct flights from Florida will make a getaway to Mexico's
enchanting coastline more accessible than ever, just in time for spring break,
Spirit Vice President John Kirby said.
In celebration of the new Tulum service, the airline is
offering introductory one-way fares, starting at $149, inclusive of taxes and
fees. Travelers can redeem the introductory fare for travel between April 10 and
May 21, 2024.
We have a long history of serving Mexico, and Tulum's new
airport is a great addition that will make it easier for our guests to get to
the city and enjoy its beaches, history, and variety of unique experiences, Kirby
continued.
The addition of nonstop flights to Tulum grows the carrier's
international service at the Fort Lauderdale airport to 26 destinations and Miami
to 11 destinations.?
Florida serves as a gateway to Spirits flights to Latin
America and the Caribbean, and the new Tulum service adds a one-stop option to passengers
traveling from 53 cities across the U.S.
