It may only be July, but travelers in England are already preparing for Christmas by purchasing tickets for the 2017 edition of the Polar Express train ride.
A notification was sent out by the Telford Steam Railway in the Polar Express Train Ride newsletter last week that tickets were available online.
Within the first day, over 25 percent of the tickets sold out.
According to the Birmingham Mail, the demand for tickets was so high, the company's website crashed shortly after the newsletter was sent to customers.

The 2017 edition of the Christmas-themed train ride is expected to sell out quickly, just as last year's events did. The decision to begin selling tickets in the summer was part of an effort to give more travelers the opportunity to secure their place on the journeys.

The Polar Express train rides run four times a day from December 1 to December 23, with each trip lasting one hour. Several nights are already sold out and many others are close to selling out, so tourists are encouraged to purchase their passes as soon as possible.
For families with a member dealing with Autism, Telford Steam Railway has also announced that it will offer an Autism-friendly Polar Express train ride on December 14 at 4:50 p.m. local time.
Tickets for the Christmas journeys are $30 for standard class and $47 for premium class. Children under the age of two years old are allowed to travel for free as long as they are sitting on the lap of an adult.
