Carnival Cruise Line has updated the letter it uses to remind guests of its onboard policies.
The document, which has been?making the rounds?on social media this week, reviews some of the lines Have Fun. Be Safe guidelines.
For example, the letter reminds passengers that children must always be supervised and that guests 17 and under must be out of public areas by 1 a.m., unless theyre accompanied by an adult from their party.
It also includes information about keeping quiet in guest corridors and using earphones with personal devices, as well as the lines prohibition on speakers, radios, marijuana, smoking and illegal substances.
The letter also advises guests that handheld fans are not allowed on the nightclub or on any indoor dance floor, and beverages are not permitted on dance floors.
Any guest who violates these policies or whose conduct affects the comfort, enjoyment, safety or well-being of other guests or crew will be fined, disembarked at their own expense, and banned from sailing on Carnival in the future, the letter concludes.
The document is not newits been part of Carnivals standard communications across its fleet for more than two years, according to Matt Lupoli, a spokesman for?Carnival Cruise Line. However, the company did tweak the letter slightly ahead of the busy summer season, Lupoli says.
We routinely share this letter with our guests through various touch points on each of our sailings, says Lupoli. It reminds guests about some of the guidelines we have in place to support a safe, friendly, and fun environment on board.
