Its shaping up to be a big summer for?Carnival Cruise Line, which expects to welcome nearly 2 million guests to its ships between Memorial Day and Labor Day.?
The cruise line is also scheduled to open?Celebration Key, its new private destination in the Bahamas, on July 19.
This summer, Carnivals fleet of 29 ships will make more than 1,200 visits to more than 100 destinations. Over Memorial Day weekend alone, Carnival will embark on 23 cruises from 10 U.S. homeports.

Carnival guests are expected to generate $635,000,000 worth of economic impact in the lines U.S. home ports before and after their cruises this summer. After it opens in July, Celebration Key will welcome 15 Carnival ships from eight homeports on more than 80 visits through Labor Day weekend.
Also, this summer, Guy Fieris Guys Burger Joint will serve 2.8 million burgers fleetwide. Guests will enjoy 13 million servings of ice cream and 2.4 million slices of pizza, while onboard restaurants and bars will pour 1.3 million glasses of wine, 4.4 million beers and 6.5 million sodas.
Many Americans are within a five-hour drive of one of our 13 U.S. homeports, so they can easily access one of our fun-filled cruises, says Duffy. With most meals, entertainment and other activities included, a Carnival cruise represents a significant value over land-based vacations.
