Carnival Cruise Line's onboard Fun Shops are being dramatically redeveloped courtesy of major retail brands. Victoria's Secret, Swarovski, Pandora, TAG and more are now along for the ride or soon will be.
"We're committed to enhancing every aspect of our operations - which includes, of course, onboard shopping - and our expanded and enhanced retail offerings provide guests with an opportunity to enjoy some 'retail therapy' and take home a unique and memorable keepsake from their Carnival vacation," said Carnival's Vice President of Retail William Butler, in a press release.
The changes come after months of research and data procurement of guest preferences for onboard shopping. The result is enhanced venues and additional selections that offer the widest variety on not just one cruise ship but up to 25 in the Carnival fleet.
Passengers can expect the following:
-Effy (12 ships): The brand is one of the biggest fine jewelry manufactures in the U.S. Tax- and duty-free products like colored gemstones, diamonds, tanzanite and more come with a lifetime guarantee.
-Swarovski (25 ships): A leading international retailer of fashion jewelry presenting custom varieties, pearls, sterling silver, etc.
-TAG (24 ships): The well-known luxury watch manufacturer is worn by celebrities and sports stars worldwide.
-Pandora (10 ships): The top U.S. costume jewelry purveyor of custom bracelets, rings, necklaces and charms; Some are even vacation-themed including cruise ships, palm trees and sandals.
-Invicta (25 ships): A wide variety of timepieces for exercise, daily use and special occasions is offered by the high-end fashion watch retailer.
-Victoria's Secret (22 ships): Beauty products such as mists, lotions and perfumes are available from the Prestige, VS Fantasies and Rollerballs categories.

Just this past year, Carnival has redesigned the shopping areas aboard Carnival Sensation, Carnival Elation, Carnival Conquest and Carnival Valor. Next year, Carnival Victory, Carnival Fascination, Carnival Legend and Carnival Paradise are slated for the same.
When the new Carnival Horizon emerges in spring 2018, it will feature the brand's biggest retail experience with two decks worth of stores and displays.
Carnival's latest efforts place the company closer to competitors like Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean International, which are also opting for more branded retail experiences over previous generic options. While logo items will most likely always be carried, the new offerings supplement with some of the most desirable products.
