Cunard has notched a record number of bookings so far in 2024, buoyed by the launch of its new ship Queen Anne in May.
Between January 1 and October 31, the company recorded an extra 73,000 reservations compared to the same period last year. Thats a 23 percent increase from 2023 to 2024, and the highest number of guests booked during any equivalent period in Cunards history.
Travelers from the United Kingdom and North America were responsible for much of the increase. Cunard saw a 24 percent uptick in bookings from guests in the U.K. and a 29 percent jump in bookings from travelers in North America compared to 2023.?
More than half of all bookings originated from outside the U.K., where Cunard is based. Overall, international guest bookings rose by 22 percent.
Cunard also recorded a 49 percent increase in first-time guests compared to 2023.
Cunard leaders attribute the increased demand to the debut of Queen Anne, as well as the introduction of new winter 2026, summer 2026 and winter 2027 itineraries.?
As an iconic British brand with growing international appeal, Cunard continues to attract travelers from across the globe who are drawn to the timeless elegance and modern luxury we provide, says Katie McAlister, president of Cunard. The launch of Queen Anne has been a key driver of this success, increasing our capacity and capturing the imagination of both loyal and first-time guests. These results are a testament to the hard work of our teams and partners worldwide, who ensure Cunard remains at the forefront of luxury travel.
