Cruise Line today announced that it will name global music sensation Gwen
Stefani as the godmother of Carnival's newest flagship, Carnival
Jubilee during a naming ceremony and festivities that are set to take place
at its homeport in Galveston, Texas on February 24, 2024.?
World-renowned
musician and three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Gwen Stefani has long
enjoyed global success as a singer, songwriter and charismatic performer—both as
the frontwoman of the band No Doubt and as a multi-platinum solo artist.?

Throughout her
career, Stefani has also been a trend-setting music and fashion icon, accruing
a staggering array of honors along the way—including four MTV Video Music
Awards, two Billboard Awards, an American Music Award and a Brit Award—and has
sold more than 60 million units worldwide.?
She also continues
to be a pop culture icon on TV, having returned this past autumn for her seventh
season as a coach on the Emmy-winning NBC series?‘The Voice’. In addition
to her many professional achievements, Stefani is also well-known for her philanthropic
work, particularly her support of children's causes.

Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.?"She has demonstrated her

having fun. We are going to show her an enthusiastic welcome in only the way
Carnival can when she joins us on?February 24."

to be the godmother of the new Carnival Jubilee," Stefani said in a
statement. "Carnival is taking it to the next level of fun while being
committed to children's causes, and supporting our military families and
veterans."
Carnival Jubilee,
the third vessel of Carnival's Excel class, commenced service on December 23,
2023, and is homeported throughout the year at the Port of Galveston. Powered
by liquefied natural gas (LNG) technology, the ship has a capacity of 6500
guests and 1750 crew members.
A portion of the
naming ceremony, an exclusive invitation-only that will take place on board the
ship, will be broadcast live on Carnival's Facebook page, allowing fans and
enthusiasts to witness the celebration, starting at 3:30 p.m. CST on February 24.
