HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions) is expanding its presence in the Americas with the hiring of four new employees who will focus on the expedition cruise lines relationships with travel advisors.?
The new appointments are:
- Carla Brake as senior sales director
- Jennifer Kennedy as business development manager for the Southeast U.S.
- Kent Phillips as business development manager for Western Canada
- Ian Kivel as business development manager for Eastern Canada

I am excited to announce the expansion of our team, a significant step in our commitment to building and nurturing long-lasting partnerships with the travel trade, says Sheralyn Berry, general manager for HX in the Americas. Ian, Carla, Kent and Jennifer will play an integral role in equipping our valued agents and advisors with the support they need to thrive in the growing expedition cruise industry and promote HX.
The new hires join HXs Americas existing team, which includes Glenn Eastwood, business development manager for the Northeast U.S.; Michael Weldon, director of sales and national accounts; and Julia Swenda, director of host accounts.
HX also recently announced that Alex Delamere-White will transition from interim chief commercial officer to permanent CCO.
