HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions) is partnering with the National Audubon Society to offer a selection of special bird-focused voyages.
HXs science and education staffers teamed up with Audubon to curate the five itineraries, which include stops in more than 30 countries, with a focus on diverse habitats. Each trip includes a trained ornithologist or local naturalist guides, and will offer guests the opportunity to observe rare or native bird species in each locale.
Audubon members can save 10 percent on Audubon Voyages, as well as 5 percent on all other HX cruises.
The cruises kick off this fall with trips to Antarctica, the Galpagos Islands and Alaska. The partners will unveil additional itineraries for 2025. HX will also unveil a series of sailings guided by top ornithologists selected by Audubon.
"Audubon's conservation mission aligns well with the hands-on and science-enriched operations of HX," says Chad Wilsey, chief scientist for the National Audubon Society. "HX employs industry-leading efforts in eco-friendly practices and a commitment to conservation across all their itineraries, including important support for community science activities onboard. Through our partnership, we hope to engage more people in the urgent fight to protect birds and the places they need."
