Margaritaville at Sea is enhancing its perk and discount program for military service members and first responders.
The cruise line has renamed its Heroes Sail Free program to Heroes Sail Free, Heroes Sail First. In addition to getting a new moniker, the program has also undergone some significant changes.
Now, all eligible travelers can sail for free with a paying guest as many times as they want on two of the lines shipsincluding back-to-back sailings. The program includes U.S. military service members (active duty and veterans), police, firefighters, emergency medical service personnel, nurses and educators.
Those hero travelers can set sail aboard Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, as well as the new Margaritaville at Sea Islander, which is slated to debut in June. Margaritaville at Sea Paradise departs from Palm Beach and sails to the Bahamas, while Margaritaville at Sea Islander will depart from Tampa Bay and visit Key West, Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico
Heroes who book a sailing through the program can take advantage of an array of benefits, including priority embarkation and disembarkation at home and destination ports; two complimentary welcome beverages at the start of the trip; priority luggage delivery; and expedited booking assistance for shore excursions. Anyone traveling in the heros stateroom will also enjoy special perks.
The program is being offered in partnership with GovX, a platform that offers government and military discounts. Travelers must verify their eligibility through GovX; they can book on GovXs website or on Margaritaville at Seas website.
