Its now official: Fincantieri will build four new cruise ships for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
The two companies first announced the deal in April 2024, but recently signed a firm order agreement. The Italian shipbuilding company will produce the largest vessels ever built for Norwegian, with a gross tonnage of approximately 226,000 tons.
Each ship will feature more than 5,100 cabins and will be able to accommodate more than 8,300 guests and crew members.
The deal is subject to financing and other terms and conditions.
Built at the Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard, the first ship will be delivered in 2030. The others are scheduled for completion in 2032, 2034, and 2036.?
Fincantieri has already built two ships for Norwegian, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. The team is currently building Norwegian Aqua, which is slated to debut in April.
The company is also in the process of building three other ships.
