Two new itineraries in the Galapagos have taken flight this week for luxury expedition cruise specialist Silversea Cruises. Both seven-night itineraries, which alternate, include new routes and excursions.
"These new itineraries will continue to highlight the amazing scenery and wildlife of the Galpagos," said Mark Conroy, Silversea's managing director for the Americas. 'For the first time, Silver Galapagos will circumnavigate iconic Kicker Rock and Daphne Major, both spectacular settings for spotting an array of exotic birds. And nature lovers will appreciate the chance to witness beautiful flamingos and sea turtles at Las Bachas Beach, also a new destination."
The itineraries have both been approved by the Galpagos National Park Service and are part of the seasonal routing for the intimate, all-suite Silver Galapagos, which accommodates a maximum of 100 guests.
The new north central itinerary includes a new circumnavigation of Isla Daphne Grande (Daphne Major)and includes Baha Darwin and El Barranco in Genovesa; Galapaguera Cerro Colorado and Punta Pitt in San Cristbal; Baha Gardner (Gardner Bay) and Punta Suarez in Espa?ola; El Edn, Fausto Llerena Breeding Center and Puerto Ayora in Santa Cruz; and Baha Sullivan, Seymour Norte, Rbida, and Plazas Sur.
The western itinerary also encompasses new stops including Cerro Dragn and Playa Las Bachas in Santa Cruz and a circumnavigation of Roca Len Dormido (Kicker Rock). Also included are stops at Punta Vicente Roca, Caleta Tagus and Baha Elizabeth in Isabela; Post Office Bay, Islote Champion and Punta Cormorant in Floreana; Los Gemelos, Fausto Llerena Breeding Center and Puerto Ayora in Santa Cruz; Bartolom, Playa Espumilla, and Punta Espinoza.
All Silver Galapagos expedition cruises include complimentary onshore explorations guided by an experienced expedition team that has been certified by the Galpagos National Park Service.
The Galapagos is known for its diverse and one-of-a-kind wildlife and Silver Galapagos passengers will almost certainly have the opportunity to see land iguanas, giant tortoises, blue- and red-footed boobies, colorful marine iguanas, sea lions, penguins and Darwin's famous finches.
While onboard, services include a butler, gourmet cuisine, complimentary wines and spirits and free Wi-Fi.
