The National Parks Service is starting National Park Week off with free entry to every national park in the country on April 19, 2025.
This years National Park Week celebrations is themed after the National Park Playlist, with a recommended set of actions to celebrate the national parks inspired by popular music genres each day of the week.
Saturday, April 19 is themed Greatest Hits, and includes waived entrance fees to the nearly 400 parks in the NPS. Its also National Junior Ranger Day, when kids can enjoy earning their National Junior Ranger badge! ?
For example, on April 20, travelers are recommended to tune into the alternative genre and download the NPS.gov app, which allows them to listen to NPS podcasts and audio tours in their car, pick a new trail or experience they havent done before and discover a new park near them.?
Travelers and parks lovers can join the conversation on social media using #NationalParkWeek, participate by volunteering or supporting the NPS in a variety of ways.?
The NPS also recommends creating your own National Park Playlist and sharing it with friends and family with #NationalParkWeek and #NationalParkPlaylist.?
