Star Wars fans will be delighted to hear what Disney has in store for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.
This morning, Disney Parks Experiences and Consumer Products Chairman Bob Chapek shared two videos featuring two major attractions that will be a part of Star Wars: Galaxy Edge at Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
One video shows the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, an attraction where visitors man the fastest ship in the galaxy in one of three unique flight crew roles.
The other attraction will be called Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The video shows scenes from the actual attraction, where guests will be placed right in the middle of a battle between the Resistance and the First Order.
Chapek also announced that Oscar-winning composer John Williams will be creating new Star Wars-themed music exclusively for the Star Wars attractions. A preview of this score is featured in the new video and was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios.
Lastly, new details of the Star Wars-themed resort at Walt Disney World was also shared today. Guests will have a fully immersive multi-day Star Wars experience which includes everything from a launch pod to a luxury starship with high-end dining and space-view cabins.
Star Wars: Galaxy Edge is set to open at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort in the summer and fall of 2019.
