If you're looking to indulge in candlelit dinners, romantic special events or just snuggling up at a beachfront resort with a view, the tropical beaches of Miami, might be just the ticket. To sweeten the pot, the Miami Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau has just rolled out its eighth annual Miami Romance Month program.
"With its tropical climate, Miami and the Beaches is the perfect backdrop for enjoying romantic experiences, such as leisurely walks through our historic neighborhoods, afternoons spent at local attractions and alfresco dining on the seafront," said William D. Talbert III, CDME, president and CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. "For couples, February is also an excellent time to book many services to organize a wedding in Miami. Many of our partners offer packages and attractive promotions exclusively during Miami Romance Month."
The campaign, a part of the "Miami Temptations Program," which was developed in partnership with Citibank, features discounted activities and hotel stays, a list of romantic special events, a wedding showcase and even a travel giveaway. Special Offers
More than 60 area hotels, attractions, restaurants and weddings providers are offering discounted packages and other deals to visitors throughout February.
For example, soak up the views from your private balcony suite at Trump International Beach Resort Miami and enjoy up to 35 percent off published rates. Or book the Beach Romance Package at the 1930s Hilton Garden Inn Miami South Beach-Royal Polo and you'll enjoy an American breakfast for two, a bottle of red wine and a late check out (until 12 noon.) At the InterContinental Miami, guests can enjoy a candlelight massage, followed by strawberries and chocolate delivered straight to their room with the Miami Romance Package. Special Events
Everywhere you go in Miami, love is in the air, including at the region's world-class attractions.
At Zoo Miami, take your sweetie on a special date during "Romance in the Glades" on February 10. The event takes place in the Florida: Mission Everglades exhibit and includes a welcome cocktail plus two additional drinks as well as small-plate snacks while a zookeeper conducts a talk about the mating habits of some of the Florida animals on exhibit. Cap the evening off with a romantic ride aboard Lostman's River airboats.
Miami Seaquarium is also offering distinctive animal encounters during February. Swim with dolphins and seals or meet a penguin nose-to-beak with your loved one for one romantic day, all while enjoying savings of up to 35 percent off. See a complete list of Miami events in February.
Wedding Showcase
If you're planning your nuptials, you won't want to miss the "Miami Romance Month Wedding Showcase," which takes place Sunday, February 25, 2018, at the Colonnade Coral Gables hotel. The hotel, a popular Florida wedding site, will host more than 60 wedding exhibitors, including wedding planners, florists, restaurants and catering services. There will also be a wedding dress fashion show, organized by La Vie en Blanc, while Macy's and Saks Fifth Avenue create pop-up wedding stores displaying ideal gift registry items.
