Visiting the Eiffel Tower is a must when in Paris.
Snapping the perfect photo of the famous monument is also essential, but don't limit yourself to just one picture. Explore multiple locations at the tower and around Paris to capture memories that will last a lifetime.
On Any Level of the Eiffel Tower
First and foremost, the best photo you can have in relation to the Eiffel Tower is at the tower itself.
Seeing all 10,000 tons of iron up close and personal will take your breath away. And if it doesn't, the views from the first and second floors as well as the summit surely will.
Exploring all three levels of the tower will cost adults 17 euro. (Traveling to only the second floor via the elevator is only 11 euro.) Avoid the lines and purchase your ticket online here before you go.
It is free, however, to enter the grounds and get a cool selfie shot underneath the tower.
And if you're up for a workout, take the stairs to the first and second floor for stunning views with each step. It's 704 steps but totally worth it. Plus, it's cheaper to just walk the steps instead of the elevator, though we couldn't blame you if you opted for the quickest route to the top of this amazing structure.
The Trocadro

A short walk across the street offers one of the best places to view the tower in all its glory. Either from the Jardins du Trocadro (the gardens in front) or walking up the steps toward the Palais de Chaillot, the Trocadro gives travelers an excellent vantage point to get that ideal image for your Instagram account.
The Carousel
Also located just across the street from the Eiffel Tower, a few old fashion carousels offer a fun place for kids. Parents can hop on with their children or stand to the side and take photos of them having a good time.
Grab a baguette or snack from one of the food stands under the tower or nearby and let the little ones have some fun. The carousel is open later as well, so if you're on a romantic trip, this spot offers a great night time photo.

Champs de Mars
This is perhaps the most famous (and most crowded) place to get a picture of the tower. You might have to maneuver around a bit to avoid having too many people in your photo, but you can make it work.
It's too classic of a view to miss out on.
The Champs de Mars is right in front of the tower, and the lawns here are such a beautiful place for a lunch picnic or a late dinner to watch the tower light up at night. If you do go at night, get there before dark and be prepared for vendors to try and sell you wine, champagne or beer. (Pro tip: be ready to negotiate the price down if you truly want that drink and aren't able to bring one ahead of time.)
Atop Arc de Triomphe

Climb up 284 steps for an incredible view of Paris with the Eiffel Tower as the focal point. Sure, the shot down the Champs-?lyses from the top of this monument is nice too, but the majority of travelers are here to see the iron lady from a distance, and she sure is pretty.
Atop Notre Dame
For another striking photo of the tower from afar, walk up 387 steps to the top of the Notre Dame Cathedral Towers.
If that's too high, you can stop at the first panoramic viewpoint, which is over 100 steps fewer than the very top. The iconic gargoyles of Notre Dame and the tower in the background make for a spectacular photo.
Avenue de Suffren at Night
On the corner of this street and Rue de Buenos Ayres, you can catch a glimpse of the tower away from the massive crowds as it sparkles at night. The tower is all lit up and squeezed between two classic French buildings, helping create a picture that is pure 'Paris.'
