Travelers eyeing a winter visit to New York City have three more reasons to lock in their plans right now.
Reservations for NYC Restaurant Week and ticket sales for NYC Broadway Week and NYC Must-See Week are officially open, NYC & Company announced Wednesday.
2019 marks the first year that all three programs launched ticket sales and reservations at the same time as part of the city's destination marketing organization's new NYC Winter Outing initiative.
All three highly anticipated programs will kick off at the same time on January 21.
NYC Restaurant Week will continue through February 8 (excluding Saturdays) while NYC Broadway Week and NYC Must-See Week will conclude February 10.
Now in its 27th year, NYC Restaurant Week will allow winter visitors to enjoy two-course prix-fixe lunches and brunches for just $26 and three-course prix-fixe dinners for as little as $42 over the course of 17 days.
This winter's program features more than two dozen new participating restaurants and hundreds all together.
"NYC Restaurant Week Winter 2019 epitomizes the quality, variety and hospitality that makes New York City one of the restaurant capitals of the world," Tracy Nieporent, partner and director of marketing for Myriad Restaurant Group and chairman of NYC & Company's Restaurant Committee said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming our guests with warm greetings as they enjoy over 33 hearty international cuisines in 41 neighborhoods this winter."
Meanwhile, the biannual NYC Broadway Week will feature 2-for-1 tickets to as many as 24 hit Broadway shows, including 11 new shows. Notable participants include the Tony Award-winning musical "The Book of Mormon" as well as "Frozen," "Kinky Boots" and "Wicked," among others.
"With nearly three weeks of 2-for-1 tickets and a wide variety of productions including family-friendly shows, creative revivals and exciting new works, it's a great time to go to the theatre," added Charlotte St. Martin, president of The Broadway League.
NYC Must-See Week is only in its third year but offers even more value for wintertime visitors to the Big Apple via 2-for-1 admission to almost 60 unique experiences, including observation decks, pop culture attractions, iconic museums and immersive experiences.
"NYC Must-See Week gives locals and visitors inspiration and motivation to get out and explore the City's leading attractions, cultural organizations, performing arts and more," said NYC & Company president and CEO Fred Dixon in a statement. "Fifty-seven 2-for-1 deals across the five boroughs provide world-class offerings at an unbelievable value."
"One of New York City's best-kept secrets is the incredible value overnight visitors experience during the winter months," said Dixon. "Winter consistently offers the most attractive hotel rates of the year. That combined with aligning the dates of NYC & Company's signature winter programs-NYC Restaurant Week, NYC Broadway Week and NYC Must-See Week-makes NYC an irresistible draw for travelers in January and February."
