For travelers heading to the west coast to visit the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, the Adventureland portion of the theme park will soon be getting a new themed area.
According to the official blog of Disney Parks, the theme park plans to transform the former Aladdin's Oasis dining area into a new area, dubbed The Tropical Hideaway. Guests will be able to find the tropical paradise between the Jungle Cruise and Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.
The Tropical Hideaway is being lauded as a one-of-a-kind Disneyland destination geared toward travelers who are looking for a temporary reprieve from the non-stop action and entertainment at Adventureland.
Visitors to the new tropical-themed area will be able to explore the exotic traders' market, which will feature "all of the sights, sounds and flavors of the tropics," according to Disney Parks. No opening date was revealed.
Disney officials also announced Tuesday that plans are in place for a multi-year expansion to Disneyland Paris starting in 2021. The improvements will include three new areas themed after hit franchises Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars.
In addition, the improvements to the Paris theme park will include adding a new lake on the property that will be the focal point for entertainment experiences and connect each of the new park areas.
