Disneyland
Park has announced a new entry-gate process at both of its California theme
parks meaning guests will no longer pass through the old-fashioned but beloved
by many turnstiles.
How the Updated Entry Process Works
Upon entering the theme
parks through the esplanade with a reservation and valid ticket, guests
will scan their ticket at a screen and take their photo at the automated and
modernized gates. If youre traveling with a group or family, each guest can
then use the screen to take their own picture. Camera technology can automatically
adjust to all heights, including the little ones in your party.
Once the ticket is scanned and the photo is digitally
attached to your ticket, the entry gates swing open, and your entire party can
head into what Walt Disney called the Happiest Place on Earth.
Those with multi-day tickets or a Magic Key pass will appreciate
that the process requires only one photo for the entire visit. Guests with
Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs), wheelchairs or families with strollers
can easily pass through the newly accessible gates. In addition, the gates will
also have an access point to tap your MagicBand+ for easy, hands-free access.
Select guests with valid theme park admission can also skip
the main entrances by entering at these locations:
- Aboard
the Disneyland Monorail via Downtown Disney- Guests with a park
reservation, a valid park admission or Magic Key Pass can head straight to
Tomorrowland via monorail.
- Disneys
Grand Californian Hotel & Spa- Disneyland Resort guests can enter
Disney California Adventure by entering the park near Grizzly Peak with a
reservation, valid park admission or Magic Key pass.
- Near
Pixar Place Hotel- Hotel guests of the Disneyland Resort with a
reservation, valid park admission or Magic Key pass can enter Disney California
Adventure near Goofys Sky School.
