Travelers who love visiting Disney theme parks will notice price increases for food and drink items at restaurants and other eating establishments.
According to the Disney Food Blog, prices for snack favorites and drink options at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland have climbed in recent weeks. Popcorn, cotton candy and churros at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Animal Kingdom will now cost guests more than ever before.
Other popular food items that have seen dramatic price increases include Mickey pretzels, Mickey ice cream bars, Dole Whip and even the famous turkey legs served at Epcot's Fife & Drum Tavern.
As for drink costs, travelers should be prepared to pay more for bottled drinks, water and fountain drinks. The increases will make guests more likely to pay for the larger sizes, which are only $.20 more at both Disney parks.
While it's not uncommon for Disney to increase snack item prices, the frequency of the changes has led to surprisingly high prices, including for food and drink items at Epcot's Food and Wine Festival.
Starting on October 16, travelers looking to visit Disney will be also able to access the theme park's new online vacation-planning platform and purchase tickets priced by the date of visit. The changes were implemented to simplify booking and planning vacations.
