Disney celebrated National Slinky Day Wednesday by revealing the first ride vehicle for the Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster scheduled to debut in 2018.
According to the official Disney Parks blog, the Slinky Dog Dash attraction is coming to Toy Story Land when the 11-acre expansion is set to open at Disney's Hollywood Studios during the summer of 2018. The family coaster is one of two major attractions, with the other being Alien Swirling Saucers.

Guests who visit Toy Story Land will be shrunk to the size of a toy and transported into the world of Andy's backyard. The Slinky Dog Dash attraction was designed as if it were built by Andy himself using his Mega Coaster Play Kit.
The recently revealed ride vehicle is inspired by the character of Slinky in the Toy Story movies and will "send riders dipping, dodging and dashing around turns and drops Andy has created to stretch Slinky's coils to the max."

The other main attraction at Toy Story Land, Alien Swirling Saucers, is designed to look like the play set Andy received from Pizza Planet in the first movie of the franchise. Aliens will be flying around in their toy saucers while attempting to capture the rocket toy vehicle of visitors by using The Claw.
The details of Toy Story Land were originally revealed in 2016, with more information provided during July at the annual D23 Expo in Anaheim.
