There will be several iconic movies and television shows celebrating big anniversaries this year.
For example the vampire saga Twilight is turning 10 in 2018. The movie, which was based on the books by Stephenie Meyer, premiered on November 21, 2008.
The coolest part of traveling is that you can tie your trip into seeing where your favorite TV show was made or where scenes from your favorite movie were shot and/or based on.
There are also festivals that honor some of them as well. Forks, Washington was the setting of the Twilight movie about high-school student Bella (played by Kristen Stewart), who meets mysterious teen Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson). Check out their annual three-day festival, which takes place to honor fans' love of the movie via auctions of props, costumes and set decoration pieces. This year it will be held September 13-16.
Here are four others to check out in 2018:
Beetlejuice
Say it with me three times: "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!" This movie-which starred Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Winona Ryder and was directed by Tim Burton-turns a whopping 30 years old this year.
If you're in New York City, check out Beetle House, located in the city's East Village. The owners stress that they are not related to the director of the 1988 feature film except that they love his work.
Here you can order noshes based on all of Burton's movies, including an 'Alice's cup o' tea', a 'Coco Skellington', or a 'This is Halloween' drink. Try such tasty dishes as 'Sweeny Beef' and 'The Edward Burger Hands' burger.
Breaking Bad
I can't talk enough about this incredibly well-written show, and I can't believe that it turns 10 years old in January. It starred Bryan Cranston as Walter White, a chemistry teacher with lung cancer who turns to manufacturing crystal meth to support his family.
It won 16 Primetime Emmy Awards-including winning for Outstanding Drama Series in both 2013 and 2014-and also had 58 nominations.
Breaking Bad fans can travel to New Mexico and take a three-hour location tour in the RV that looks just like the one from the show. (You know the one: It's where Jesse and Walter cooked up their meth.) On this tour, you will visit 20 locations around New Mexico where Gilligan and his crew filmed the show.
These sites include Jesse's House, The Dog House, Tucco's, Combo's Corner, The Railyard, RV Junkyard, the restaurant that was used for Los Pollos Hermanos, Crossroads, Jane's, Denny's, Danny's, The Car Wash, Walt's House, The Super Lab and more.
Sex and The City
On June 6, 2018, Sex and the City celebrates its 20-year anniversary. The show starred Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie, Kristin Davis as Charlotte, Kim Cattrall as Samantha and Cynthia Nixon as Miranda.
If you're in the Big Apple, check out On Location Tours, where you can take a tour of the show's filming sites as well as the sites of The Sopranos, Gossip Girl, Real Housewives of New York, When Harry Met Sally and more.
The Big Lebowski
This 1998 cult classic, which was written and directed by the Coen brothers Joel and Ethan, also turns 20 this year.
If you're a fan of the movie, you might be excited to know, dude, that there has been an annual traveling fest, and more dates will be announced soon. The events typically take place around Louisville, Kentucky as well as in New York City.
Past guests have included Leon Russom (who played the Sheriff of Malibu), Jim Hoosier (Liam) and Robin Jones (Ralph's checkout girl).
