Fans of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood will be happy to hear of the theme park's plans to introduce new wand magic experiences, authentic costume replicas, lunchtime menu items and the return of The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle.
The magic wand experiences at Universal Hollywood's Harry Potter-themed land are already a major highlight for visitors, and the addition of two new spells brings the total to 15 wand experiences for guests to practice.
The two experiences include the Incendio fire-making spell that involves conjuring flames of varying sizes and the Alohomora spell that unlocks a series of intricate locks that may reveal the fiery breath of a creature hidden behind a secret door.
As for fans of the Harry Potter film franchise, Gladrags Wizardwear will offer guests the chance to purchase the robes worn by the students of Hogwarts School, hand-loomed cardigans from Scotland and replicas of Professor Severus Snape's robe and Hermione's dress.
At the Three Broomsticks restaurant, the menu has been upgraded with a wider selection of traditional British fare, including Ploughman's Lunch, Cheese Toastie with Chicken and Sunday Roast Sandwiches.
This summer, The Wizarding World will also add Madam Malkin's Talking Mirror to its list of attractions. The mirror will entertain guests with a variety of complimentary remarks.
In addition, The Nighttime Lights at Hogwarts Castle returns for a limited time only, beginning June 24. The show will showcase the four houses of Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin, and culminates with beams of lights that fan into the night sky at the California park.
