Walt Disney World Resort is launching a new nighttime drone show debuting in Disney Springs on May 24, called Disney Dreams that Soar, Presented by AT&T.?
The new show, which runs from May 24 through September 2, is the first of a few new limited-time summertime entertainment offerings available at Walt Disney World Resort. The nine-minute show will be offered twice nightly above Disney Springs, though showtimes will vary.
Footage from a test session in France was posted to Disney Parks Instagram page on May 15, showing how 800 drones will create amazing images and quotes from famous Disney movies such as Star Wars, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Wall-E, Big Hero 6, and more, all accompanied by scores from the movies, as well as one original song that was composed for the show.?
We are presenting Disney characters who have had a dream of flying. Not just the idea that they can fly, but the idea of taking their lives to the next level, said Show Director, Tony Giordano in a Disney Parks Blog post. We put a lot of thought in making sure that no matter how old you are, or how much of a fan you are, youre going to see a character that you love.
I cant wait to stand next to the guests and hear their reactions, said Giordano. Thats my favorite part of building any show because those reactions are why we do what we do. We want them to actually experience magic, and when you see all these drones, to me, you get to see real magic!?
