If you're someone who is good at getting friends to sign up for your favorite travel credit cards, then you could be earning hundreds of dollars in referrals every year.
Certain card issuers offer referral periods where you earn points for each person who signs up through your link or a referral email. Heck, Chase even has a dedicated web page that lets you refer friends for top travel cards like the Chase Freedom, Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card and Chase Sapphire Preferred.
But, the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card hasn't been available for referrals until now. In September, Chase set up a special web page that lets people refer their friends to this lucrative travel credit card-and earn 10,000 points per referral.
Here are a few key details:
-Each friend you refer will receive an offer for 50,000 bonus points after they spend $4,000 on purchases within three months of account opening.
-Receive up to 50,000 bonus points per year. You can receive 10,000 bonus points for each friend who gets the card. 50,000 points is the max you can earn for all Chase Sapphire Reserve referrals per year.
-Once you go to the dedicated web page, you can create a referral link of your own. Share this link via Facebook, via your work email or through any other type of messaging and you can start racking up extra Chase Ultimate Rewards points quickly.
But, where can the Chase Sapphire Reserve card actually take you?
Because this is a flexible travel card, there are almost no limits to where you can go.
First off, Chase partners with an array of popular loyalty programs that can help you fly or stay free anywhere in the world. This includes programs like World of Hyatt, Marriott Rewards, IHG Rewards, British Airways Executive Club, Southwest Rapid Rewards, United MileagePlus Explorer and others. No matter which partner you choose, you can transfer a minimum of 1,000 points at a rate of 1:1.
In addition to transfer partners, you can also book travel directly through the Chase travel portal with your points. The portal works a lot like Expedia, and you get a 50 percent discount on travel when you book with rewards.
Lastly, you can always redeem your Chase points for gift cards or cash back at a rate of one cent per point. That makes the signup bonus alone on this card worth $500-and even more if you can refer some of your friends.
