American Express Travel has long been known for identifying some of the best destinations, hotels and experiences around the world.
It's a tradition the company will continue in 2018, with the addition of more than 150 properties and more than 40 new destinations.
The new offerings are part of Fine Hotels & Resorts and The Hotel Collection, American Express Travel's proprietary programs.
The expanded portfolio includes trending international locales such as Lake Lucerne, Switzerland and Valletta, Malta. It also includes domestic hotspots such as Brooklyn's ultra-hip Williamsburg neighborhood and the New England charmer of Ogunquit, Maine.
The company said the new offerings are a reflection of traveler demand for intimate, boutique lodging and also unique experiences.
"Annually, we conduct a rigorous selection process with best-in-class hospitality brands and this year, we're thrilled to introduce a range of new properties-curated with our card members in mind-located in trending destinations and offering unique moments of discovery," said Tom Stein, vice president of American Express Travel.
