Slowly but surely Florida is on the road to recovery and progress can be seen in the Florida Keys.
After being hit extremely hard by Hurricane Irma, on October 1, Florida's Monroe County officially allowed visitors to return. In further good news for the area, the Keys Collection hotels announced that its four properties have reopened.
The Gates Hotel Key West, 24 North Hotel, Hilton Garden Inn Key West/The Keys Collection and Fairfield Inn & Suites at The Keys Collection are all up and running and welcoming guests with all amenities available.
"We're proud of The Keys Collection's timely and safe response to hurricane Irma from quickly evacuating guests and associates following Monroe County's orders to getting back to business after minimal property damage," said Alan Brand, vice president of operations for The Keys Collection.
"We're thankful and thrilled to welcome incoming guests and locals once again," Brand added.

In a statement on the reopening of the properties, the Keys Collection recognized the efforts of local residents for their help in getting businesses back up and running. It was also noted that a portion of the profits from the hotels' incoming reservations will be donated to Save The Children, which will provide aid to 4 million children left at risk following hurricane Irma by restoring critical child care and education services.
The four properties are all located on North Roosevelt Road and are convenient to the Key West airport as well as many other local attractions, including the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, the Key West Aquarium, the Key West Lighthouse, the Shipwreck Museum and the Audubon House & Tropical Gardens.
While offering many on-site activities and dining options, guests have access to Key West's dining scene and restaurants such as Margaritaville, Schooner Wharf Bar, A&B Lobster House and Southernmost Beach Cafe.
