Blue Diamond Resorts’ adults-only, all-inclusive Royalton CHIC
Antigua resort will open this spring with 12 deluxe overwater suites, company
officials said this week. The 235-room property will be the second in Royalton’s
portfolio to offer overwater accommodations.
The resort’s overwater suites will be available in chairman,
presidential and junior suite categories and feature the company’s Diamond Club
amenities, said officials. The property will join Royalton Antigua Resort,
which opened in 2019, in offering overwater suites.
“This is a milestone, not only for Blue Diamond Resorts but
also for the all-inclusive industry and Antigua,” said Jordi Pelfort, Blue
Diamond’s president. The new suites represent a new luxury option for
travelers to Antigua and Barbuda, he said.
“We strongly believe that the addition of these overwater suites
to the upcoming Royalton CHIC Antigua will make this resort one of a kind in
the region,” said Pelfort.
Positioned over the ocean, Royalton CHIC Antigua’s two-bedroom
chairman overwater bungalows will include living rooms with glass floors for up-close sea views.
The 3,049 square-foot suite will also feature two plunge
pools, overwater hammocks and terraces, and direct access to the sea. ?A bar, kitchenette, dining area, three
bathrooms and “cutting-edge technology” complete the suite’s facilities, according
to Blue Diamond officials.
The resort’s one-bedroom, 1,912 square foot presidential overwater
bungalow will offer a living room area with a glass floor providing an ocean view,
while the 1,138 square foot junior suite overwater bungalow will feature a
private terrace and a plunge pool while offering direct ocean access.
