Sleeping under the stars is one of summers greatest pleasures. But you dont have to rough it to enjoy some much needed R&R in the Catskills.
A new glamping experience at Callicoon Hills makes it easy to immerse yourself in naturewithout sacrificing on creature comforts. The recently revitalized resort, located in Callicoon Center about two hours from New York City, is now offering rustic A-frame cabins nestled among towering pines and hiking trails.

The A-frames opened last month at the century-old resort and will be available every summer from May through October. Each woodsy, dog-friendly cabin features a plush bed, massive windows, electricity, Wi-Fi and solar-powered lights.?

Outside, guests can sit around firepits in Adirondack chairs for smores and stargazing. A shared bathhouse with private bathrooms and rain showers is just a short walk away and adds to the camping vibes.
The new A-frames are just one of the lodging options at the historic resort, which dates back to 1905. Groups and multi-generational families will love the diversity of options, including the original boarding house, the pool house, ridge rooms and a private two-bedroom cottage. Other amenities include a sauna, lawn games, yoga classes, a gym, firepits, swimming, hiking trails and more.

The ground floor of the historic boarding housewhich is original to the 119-year-old property, but has been refreshed with modern upgradesis home to the resorts check-in desk, coffee shop, restaurant and bar.
