Universal Orlando Resort has released the first details of a planned 500-room resort that’s to be located at Universal Epic Universe theme park.
The Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Mediterranean-inspired property, will be operated by Loews Hotels & Co.?The accommodations will be set amid a lush garden landscape at Celestial Park at Epic Universe, according to a press release issued by Universal Orlando about the project.
The upcoming property is being described as a getaway that blends immersion and relaxation and will feature “tranquil sleeping accommodations, entertaining amenities for the whole family to enjoy, divine dining options, a stunning rooftop bar and the hotel’s very own dedicated entrance to the new theme park,” according to Universal Orlando Resort.
"Only here can guests unwind in the serenity of a sunlit retreat in one moment and then within minutes find themselves in the heart of exhilarating theme park adventures,”? says the press release.

Universal Helios Grand Hotel Design Details and Property Highlights
Universal Helios Grand Hotel is aiming to be a fantastical world set within “the palace of Helios, the Greek god of the sun.”
Design highlights throughout the property will include celestial patterns, constellations, and elegant yet casual Mediterranean architecture. The lobby, meanwhile, will feature floor-to-ceiling windows providing views of Celestial Park.

Additional details released today include:
- Serene guest rooms and spacious suites: Bright, inviting and warm, the guest rooms and suites of Universal Helios Grand Hotel are being designed to convey the tranquility of a blissful garden – with many of the rooms offering views of Epic Universe.?
- Kids suites: Unique to Universal Helios Grand Hotel, there will be imaginative How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suites, where little ones can take to the skies and rest amongst dragons in a colorful room inspired by the Viking village of Berk.

- Dedicated entrance to Universal Epic Universe: Just steps from the hotel's lobby, there's a dedicated entrance into Epic Universe, providing guests of Universal Helios Grand Hote direct, convenient access to and from the theme park (Valid theme park admission required).
- Bar Helios: A stylish rooftop lounge, Bar Helios at Universal Helios Grand Hotel offers a menu of creative tapas, familiar favorites and handcrafted specialty cocktails amid a setting that provides 360-degree views of Epic Universe and beyond.
- Resort-style pool: The resort includes a zero-entry pool complete with underwater speakers, poolside cabanas available for rent, a hot tub, poolside movies, recreational activities and more.
- Fitness center: Guests of Universal Helios Grand Hotel can also enjoy a complimentary state-of-the-art fitness center featuring a variety of strength and cardio equipment.
- Game room: Blast, zap and race your way through a collection of arcade games with the purchase of a game card.
- Universal Orlando Resort store: The resort store will sell everything from sundries and necessities to Universal Orlando merchandise.
The forthcoming property brings the destination’s portfolio to a total of 11 hotels and 11,000 guest rooms.
In January, Universal Orlando Resort announced its new 5-world theme park, Universal Epic Universe, which is expected to debut in 2025. Epic Universe is Universal Orlando’s fourth theme park.
