Marriott Internationals W Hotels brand is entering the all-inclusive arena, with the grand opening of the 340-room W Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The resort features 340 stylishly appointed guest rooms and suites, each starting at a spacious 700 square feet, W Hotels said. Every room includes a bathtub and exclusively features king-size bed configurations, including the two-bed suites and the Oasis Mega Suites.
Forty-six suites have swim-up pools, with a handful with full-sized pools.
W Punta Cana houses 12 restaurants, bars and lounges, with culinary offerings including Asian, Dominican and Caribbean fare.
Trade Market offers an interactive dining experience, a food hall concept unique to the island with live-action stations inspired by global street food and fueled by fresh, local ingredients, W Hotels said.
Public areas include Taproom, which doubles as a microbrewery and beer hall; Living Room Bar, featuring curated cocktails that pay homage to the Dominican Republic; and the 33 1/3 Speakeasy, whose ambiance hearkens back to the days of vinyl records.
The AWAY Spa boasts 10 treatment rooms and a menu that pays homage to local healing traditions; a steam room, Himalayan salt room, sauna; and indoor pool.
W Punta Cana also has a full-service beauty salon and the 1,500-square-foot FIT gym, which is open 24/7.
This isnt just another resort C its the brand reimagining the concept entirely, where everything from elevated dining to immersive experiences reserved for adults only are thoughtfully curated and included, said George Fleck, W Hotels senior vice president and brand leader.
Set against the stunning natural backdrop of Punta Canas pristine beaches and lush landscape, this destination is the perfect location for the brand to debut its first-ever all-inclusive.
