More than 80 flights traveling over the Middle East were forced to divert due to Iranian missile attacks on Israel on Tuesday.
The flights were operated by Emirates, British Airways, Lufthansa and Qatar Airways and bound for destinations such as Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi.
However, the missile threat forced diversions to places like Cairo, Istanbul and some European cities.?
Iran's attack was in retaliation for Israel's campaign against Tehran's Hezbollah allies in Lebanon, Reuters reported.
The conflict has already prompted airlines to suspend service to Israel and other impacted areas while others are avoiding the affected air space.
The attack is another setback for Israel and the region, which is approaching the one-year anniversary of Hamas' surprise attack on the nation that ignited the ongoing conflict on October 7, 2023.
