Many luxury travelers will opt for a relaxing villa vacation in 2024 and while this experience can be had all over the world some destinations stand out in the new year.
Full-service luxury villa company Rental Escapes has revealed the six most sought-after places for a villa escape in 2024 based on booking demand and the results range from the Caribbean to Europe.
The Dominican Republic is the hottest locale for a villa getaway this year and Rental Escapes recommends the eight-bedroom oceanfront Juanillo 3 Blue Oasis in Cap Cana. Meanwhile, gorgeous sunsets and world-class amenities await guests at the luxe Hacienda A1 Solara.
Punta Mita in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico is another in-demand destination for villa guests. Standouts here include private luxury estate Casa Tau and the six-bedroom custom-built Villa Samba equipped with two beachfront swimming pools, including one attached to a one-bedroom suite.
Jamaica and Turks and Caicos are also trending villa destinations this year.
The five-bedroom Happy Hour villa in the gated community of Fortlands boasts a plethora of awesome amenities, including a lit pickleball and tennis court, an infinity pool, hot tub, sauna, game room, fitness center and outdoor kitchen, among others.
For epic ocean views, consider the Dragonfly villa. Highlights here include a 100-foot swimming pool, movie theater, basketball court, a fully-equipped gym and game room.

In Turks and Caicos, Emerald Bay and Solara are can't-miss accommodations. Guests at the former can watch the ocean from a canopy-style indoor outdoor dining area while the latter includes a dedicated chef, villa host and housekeeper.
Italy and France round out Rental Escapes' list of the most sought-after luxury villa destinations for 2024. Visitors to Positano can check into the 17th-century Pamina villa clinging to a dramatic cliff. Elsewhere in Italy, Salvatore Ferragamo's Villa i Gerani is another splendid property featuring a spacious patio overlooking the pool and a path to the beach where guests can enjoy a private bungalow and changing area.

Villa des Peyroues and Chateau Pessac are notable villas in France. The latter was formerly a Pope's residence and can comfortably accommodate up to a dozen guests who will enjoy hotel-like services including a butler, waiters and maid service.
