The Strategic Art of Pre-Planning Luxury Vacations: A Perspective for Travel Advisors
Belvin Baldwin II
The US Tour Operators Association has announced the passing of its former chairman, John Stachnik.
Stachnik served as chairman of USTOA twice from 1996-1997 and 2010-2011.
He started serving on the USTOA Board of Directors in 1989. John and his wife Mary were owners of Mayflower Tours until they sold the company and retired to Florida in 2018.
Stachnik was the recipient of the USTOA Honorary Life Member in 2012.
He passed away peacefully at home in Florida with his family by his side.
"It is truly a sad day for the travel industry. John was known and loved by so many people. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary, their two children and grandchildren," said Terry Dale, USTOA president & CEO in an email.
