What's better than planning an amazing vacation with the whole family? Saving big on airfare.
It's one of the most costly parts of a vacation, but Tauck is making it much more affordable for families with a half-off airfares for children 12 and under.
"We're thrilled to be working with our airline partners to reduce the cost of children's flights to Europe," said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar.
"We know from our guests that high airfares to Europe can be a real obstacle for families, and our Bridges trips-in fact, all of Tauck's journeys-are about making it easy and hassle-free for guests to enjoy enriching and memorable travel experiences," Mahar added. "Making airfares to Europe more affordable is just another way we can facilitate those kinds of meaningful travel experiences for our guests."
Tauck will offer 19 Bridges journeys next year and families can travel to Europe, North America, Latin America and Africa.
Ten of the journeys are included in the airfare deal. Six land tours as well as river cruises for families on the Danube, Rhine, Rhone and Seine. Bookings need to be made by December 29, 2017.
Tauck is also enticing kids to join them on a Bridges journey with a new "Just for Kids" brochure that is exactly that-for kids only.
The 56-page brochure was designed and written for younger travelers and has bright graphics as well as a bold layout, casual fonts, and playful text.
Rather than providing conventional itinerary information, the details are presented in word clouds, fun facts and key activities and cool hotel aspects.
Trips are also grouped into three categories rather than by destinations. The categories include To qualify, children must be 12 or younger at the time of travel, and flights must be booked in conjunction with a Tauck Bridges European land journey or river cruise.
Younger travelers can also get to know their tour guides and fellow kid travelers through interviews and profiles.
Tauck's Bridges trips are built around a philosophy of "shared enrichment" that allow families to come together in a fun, interesting way that builds bonds ("bridges").
