G Adventures is expanding its premium active adventure category, called Geluxe, with seventeen new trips across ten countries, ensuring travelers a greater offering with a total of 45 Geluxe itineraries across 26 popular destinations.?
The Geluxe Collection trips focus on physical activity, connection to the outdoors and one-of-a-kind dining and accommodations, combined with G Adventures commitment to community and culture.?
The new destinations include Patagonia (both in Chile and Argentina), the Galapagos, Iceland, Ireland, India, Kenya, Portugal, Spain, Tanzania and Turkey. Each trip offers a maximum of 16 people, with an average group size of 10-12 people. Departures begin October, 2024.?
Each Geluxe itinerary offers at least one Your OMG Stay and one Your OMG Day. Your OMG Stay is a one-of-a-kind accommodation chosen for its history, design or surrounding experiences. One such is the Exedra Hotel in Cappadocia, Turkey, set amongst the region's ancient caves, making it a destination in its own right.?
Your OMG Day is a memorable day that guests choose for themselves from two different travel experiences. Examples include a yoga class at an organic farm in Pushkar, India and a half-day horseback riding through Los Glaciares National Park in Patagonia.?
The travelers who are booking these trips are slightly older than our usual demographic, with the majority of travelers being aged above 40, said Yves Marceau, VP of Product for G Adventures. Its especially appealing to female travelers, a high proportion of whom are traveling solo, showing us there was a niche in the market that wasnt being fulfilled. Were also seeing a lot of couples looking to connect with other like-minded travelers. Were delighted to be able to provide even more Geluxe options around the world, and at the same time give back to more local people and communities with this new style of travel.
New itineraries include Kenya: Cultural Connections, Mt. Kenya & the Maasai Mara; Portugal: Coastal Walks, Vineyards & Villages of the Douro Valley; Northern India: Riverside Safaris, Ancient Fortresses & the Taj Mahal; and Turkey: Istanbul, Cappadocia & Walking the Turquoise Coast.?
The Geluxe Collection officially launched in November, 2023. Other destinations the collection's trips visit include Botswana, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Greece, Japan and many more.
