Intrepid Travel, a certified B-Corp and responsible tour operator, is expanding its age range for young adult tour to travelers aged 18-35 previously for adults 18-29 as it seeks to increase generation-based offerings to Gen Z and Millennial travelers.?
The tour operator launched fifteen new trips in 2024 for these travelers, including a 9-day Essential South Korea trip, 6 days in Iceland, and 7 days in Morocco.
Local leaders take young adults on the trip of a lifetime, offering ample free time for exploration, active and unique cultural experiences and great value. The trips have an average group size of ten travelers.?
Unique experiences may include visits to local nonprofits, classes in local languages or traditional arts and crafts, tours through historic areas or attractions popular to young people.?
For example, the Essential South Korea tour visits some popular music video filming locations of the world-famous K-pop group, BTS; a stop at a nonprofit urban farm; and offers optional calligraphy, Korean or Tae Kwon Do classes.
For the One Week in Morocco trip, travelers can visit a woman-run teahouse supporting the local community, experience an adventure into the Sahara by camelback and spend the night in several homeshare programs run by locals.
When the average person thinks about travel for young adults, they picture massive groups, fast-paced itineraries, party-packed nights and touristy experiences, said Intrepid General Manager of Global Product, Erica Kritikides. This generation is more curious, climate-conscious and culturally connected than any other. Our experiences must match that.
