Booking Disney vacations for clients is a big part of any travel agent's repertoire, and Walt Disney World Resort is adding new commission opportunities for 2018.
Disney officials announced the theme park's Enchanted Evening Honeymoon or Enchanted Evening Romance package options will be commissionable for new bookings.
The honeymoon and romance packages include an exclusive themed MagicBand and luggage tag, beautiful views of the Fireworks Dessert Party from the Plaza Garden Viewing facility at Magic Kingdom and a celebratory treat to cap off the Orlando evening.
While the Enchanted Evening option can be added to any Walt Disney Travel Company/Walt Disney World Resort Hotel package, it is not available at the Swan and Dolphin Hotels, the Four Seasons Resort Orlando, Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, Gateway Hotels or Good Neighbor Hotels.
Travel agents will also be able to earn commission Happily Ever After and Mickey's Birthday Surprise in-room celebrations, which are available through the Walt Disney Travel Company.
"We know and understand how travel agents can deliver new business opportunities to us, and we are happy to extend these new opportunities to them," Disney Destinations senior vice president of sales Claire Bilby told TravelPulse.
The in-room celebrations are available with packages booked at Disney World hotels, including the Swan and Dolphin Hotels, the Four Seasons Resort Orlando, SpringHill Suites at Flamingo Crossings and TownePlace Suites at Flamingo Crossings.
Disney officials also announced all 2019 pre-/post-night Adventures by Disney Land packages at any hotel are commissionable. Travel agents who already booked a pre-/post-night Adventures by Disney Land Package for a client will also receive a commission.
