The company's new plans are "geared towards capitalizing on the strong leisure and corporate growth opportunities in the large U.S. market," FLT said in a statement.?
FLT will grow its independent and luxury sectors through its new Envoyage brand and Scott Dunn. Envoyage, which was launched this week, will serve as FLT's? new global home for independent travel agents and agencies.?
Effectively, we are playing to our strengths and doubling down in our best performing sectors and where we see exciting future growth potential, said Flight Centre Travel Group Americas President Charlene Leiss. We are also bringing the U.S. business into line with the leisure and corporate structures we have elsewhere in the world.
Scott Dunn, which now has offices on both the East and West coasts of the US has made new appointments to its leadership team with Susan Duffy serving as Executive Vice President and Jade Lynch taking on the role of Director of Brand Marketing.?
FLT will now be fast-tracking its growth in the SME corporate sector through its Corporate Traveler USA business with a new, regionalized approach that has East, West, and Central hubs, located around Boston/New York, Chicago, and Southern California. Corporate Travelers USA is now better placed to capitalize on opportunity and expand.?
Our U.S. corporate business has been a major success story over the past decade, with the North American operation now our largest globally, said Leiss. There is, however, clear opportunity to grow our share of this huge market, particularly targeting unmanaged SME accounts via Corporate Traveler, which has introduced our leading digital platform - Melon - to operate alongside a world class human workforce and create a compelling Omni-channel customer offering.
FLT also plans to continue the rollout of its Productive Operations work for FCM, streamlining its mid and back offices globally. FCM will begin a process of recruiting a new global sales leader for the U.S., as both corporate businesses are prioritizing new client acquisition.
