And you can 'go' with American Airlines Vacations, which has plenty of packages to the entertainment capital of the world.
Sometime between sessions at the slots and perfecting one's tan, visitors to Vegas owe it to themselves to do something else that's quintessentially Vegas-see a show. Then the question becomes, with so many fabulous entertainers, how can one ever choose?
Luckily, we are here to break it down for you with these seven great shows to catch in Las Vegas.
Britney: Piece of Me. She's back and with a vengeance. This former teen idol showcases her greatest hits but manages to show the world that the older, wiser Britney is a force to be reckoned with. Part of the show's dazzle comes as a result of Planet Hollywood's Axis Theater, which was redesigned especially for Spears.
J.Lo: All I Have. Extravagant costumes, a five-piece live band and a host of dancers combine with Jennifer Lopez's raw talent in a show that you won't soon forget as Planet Hollywood's Axis Theater plays home to her first headlining residency. This seven-act show proves that Jenny can strut her stuff on any block she chooses.

La Rve-The Dream. You might think you're watching a Cirque du Soleil show (and with good reason, it is the vision of former Cirque director Franco Dragone) but you're not. This ethereal show gives credence to the show's name, as it combines a theater-in-the-round aquatic stage with dreamy music and amazing feats of agility. There's a reason it was voted "Best Production Show" in Las Vegas for six years running.
The Beatles LOVE. Cirque du Soleil hits it out of the park with this paean to the Beatles. Fans of the Fab Four will LOVE this show as it traces the rise and eventual breakup of this iconic musical group through almost 30 songs. The show underwent a major redesign, including a remixed soundtrack, last year in honor of its 10th anniversary.
Absinthe. Leave the kids back in the room as this is decidedly an adults-only show. This show combines bawdy humor, an outlandish cast of characters and amazing stunts all performed on a nine-foot diameter stage.
Blue Man Group. Head on over to the Luxor Hotel and Casino for a multi-sensory experience that combines comedy, rock 'n' roll, a dance party and a substantial amount of blue paint, at least for those seated in the front few rows (take heart: protective ponchos are provided). Go on a melancholy journey as the Blue Man Group explores the universal issues such as loneliness and rejection.
Penn & Teller. These two magicians roundly rejected the idea that magicians never reveal their secrets. In fact, they'll show you how it's done. Silent Teller and boisterous Penn take the audience on a roller-coaster ride through the magical world of magic.
