Holland America Line has set a new single-day sales record. On January 16, the cruise line had its biggest day of bookings yetup 18 percent from the previous record-holder of July 11, 2023.
In addition, the company also notched its largest-ever bookings week for a wave season, the annual period from January to March when many cruise lines roll out savings and promotions.?
Bookings during that time also offer insights into guests preferences: More than a third of reservations were for Alaska cruises. On top of that, more than 22 percent of bookings were for 2025 or later, indicating that cruisers like to plan ahead.
"Stacking records on top of records is a sign of continued strength for our business and an endorsement from our guests that they are truly having the time of their lives exploring the world with us," says Gus Antorcha, Holland America Lines president. "Our position as the cruise line with the most visits to Alaska's glaciers and more ways to see wildlife is resonating, and we're pleased to see so many guests already planning their 2025 vacations."
Holland America Lines wave season deal is called the Time of Your Life sale and it runs through February 29. Travelers who book a Have It All premium cruise package can enjoy discounts, stateroom upgrades, reduced deposits and free fares for kids on select sailings in 2024 and 2025. Those who book before January 31 can get up to $500 in onboard credits.?
This week, the cruise line unveiled new, longer itineraries that will take guests across the Atlantic and back, as well as on voyages throughout the South Pacific.
